OverviewMy practice includes the representation of financial institutions, banks, corporate fiduciaries, business owners and other corporate clients. My representative litigation cases include breach of contract actions, estate and trust litigation, business debt collection, foreclosures and workouts, landlord-tenant issues, employment cases, and a variety of real property matters. I also routinely represents my clients as creditors in all aspects of Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases.
I have a focused regulatory and administrative law practice dedicated to helping financial institutions and related financial services providers navigate the complex and expanding area of government regulation and compliance with federal and state laws. This includes working with my clients to prepare best practices policies, procedures, and forms; representing my clients before state regulatory agencies; and advising financial institutions as to avoiding litigation. When necessary, I will also represent those same institutions in court. I present regularly on these issues at the Florida Bankers Association’s Consumer Compliance Seminar.
Since 2009, I have consistently been recognized as a Rising Star in the Super Lawyer Magazine, being counted among the elite 2.5% of Florida’s attorneys under 40 years of age or in practice for less than 10 years, to receive this honor. In 2012, I was recognized by the Orlando Business Journal Women Who Mean Business as a Woman to Watch.
As someone who grew up in Central Florida and played golf on my high school team, I am proud to have been a member of the founding board of directors for The First Tee of Central Florida, an organization which impacts the lives of local youth by providing educational programs that build character and instill live-enhancing values through the game of golf. I am also committed to giving back to my community by dedicating a portion of my time and practice of law to pro bono legal representation, including representation of children as a Guardian ad Litem through the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association.
